Bollywood Dance Workshop and InSync’s 6th Birthday Celebration

Bollywood Dance Workshop was conducted for the very first time on the eve of 1st Oct. The workshop received a grand opening with some outstanding fultoo bollywood performances.

They were followed by an awesome workshop with the people totally enjoying themselves. They danced to the tunes of Gori Gori and Zoobi Doobi.

When people felt the night was getting over, they were in for a ride as the party had just begin. Non-stop 2 hours of dancing and masti at the DJ Night was awaiting them.

Then came the moment for which the night was organised in the first place, InSync’s Birthday celebration. The awesome cake you see here was sponsored by all the seniors..We thank all the alumni who took out time to spend with us on this day..Thank you all  🙂 🙂

All in all, it was a great night and I hope everybody enjoyed it as much as we did.

InSync Presents Couple Dance Workshop in Bollywood Ishtyle

Presenting a fultoo paisa vasool, Bollywood extravaganza with NO  intermission this Friday, 1st Oct 8:00 pm at OAT

For the first time, we present to you a Bollywood Dance Workshop, dance with your partner or dance alone, you are promised to have loads of masti and dhamaal..

It also features all time hit  performances on Pag ghunghru, lift kara de, uchi hai building, aa ante, saawariya and zoobi doobi..

The workshop is followed by a Disco Night in the Yoga room which will be followed by InSync’s Birthday celebration and cake cutting ceremony 🙂

And last but not the least, Dabangg style after the couple dance workshop 😉

Dress up dhinchaak, like your favourite stars, feel like your favourite stars..

Do not miss at any cost..yaha nahi nacha toh kya nacha 😉 🙂

InSync Orientation and Salsa Workshop

It was raining cats and dogs all day..the 27th of  August..It left us wondering whether the rain would stop, whether people would turn up for the show we had planned..But then the skies cleared at 7:00pm and it had stopped raining after 3 days just for the workshop!!! Phew, we were so damn lucky..

And then came the crowd..awesome freshies I must say..Infi enthu hai..Happy ho gaye hum itni enthu junta dekh kar

For the orientation we had showcased 3 performances: Bhangra (all freshies except 1), Fusion (all freshies), and Hiphop. All performances were loved and heartily applauded by everybody.

The conveners of the Club, Chandu and Sushant and the A.I.D.S. OCs Vinod and Nechlani together did a great job with explaining the Club and A.I.D.S. respectively.

Then came the long awaited SALSA performance. The presentation was awesome, all ladies looking gorgeous along with the handsome gentlemen. (I putched though 😦 )

After the performance was over, the best part had come..The time to learn SALSA. The couples already paired up were finally relieved (finally jisliye aaye the woh cheez shuru hui 😉 ) And the ones not paired up were desperately looking for someone to dance with..And eventually as always (thanks to the awesome boy-girl ratio in IIT), there were 3 kinds of couples, with all possible combinations.

But once the salsa started, nobody cared about whether they are dancing with a guy or a girl, they were all engrossed in learning..That’s the spirit of dance..Its what you learn that matters and not how!!

Kudos to Vinod for doing an awesome job with the mike..the couples thoroughly enjoyed his anchoring (his typical ‘Sholon si Sholon si’, GO GO GO!! etc etc)

It feels great to see happy and satisfied faces when they are going back after all the ups and downs you face in the maling of such a workshop.

Salsa Dance Classes commencing from 28th

Did you know Salsa dancing is the easiest, sexiest dance you will ever learn—even if you’re rhythmically challenged and suffer from the two-left-feet syndrome? It’s true!

We will be starting with Salsa Dance Classes  from this Saturday i.e. 28th Aug.

These classes will be conducted by Ekta Sheth and Viraj Shah. They have been teaching Salsa since the past 2 and a half years and Viraj is one of the Instructors of Rahul Saxxena Academy. There will be 8 classes held on every Saturday and Sunday, having time duration of 1.5 hours each.

Registration Details:

Date: 25th and 26th August (Wed and Thu)

Venue: Coffee Shack

Time: 5-6pm

Fees: Rs.1250 (per person)

You need to have a partner for these classes. Please make sure you come with your partner for registration.

The Dance Classes for this semester are on!! We are getting started with two very cool genres both of which have their own peculiar grace and style.

1. B-boying/B-girling by Freak N Stlyz Group:

• Fee: Rs.1250 for 8 classes of 1.5 hours each
• Styles taught: Toprocks, Footwork/Groundwork,Freezes, Power Moves (for advanced batches)

2. Contemporary Dance Classes by Expressions Modern Dance Company:

• Fee: Rs.1850 for 14 classes of 1 hour each

Do register for these classes..they will be great fun!!!

Date: 11th Aug (Wednesday) and 12th Aug (Thursday)
