A One Act Play, a Monologue and a Street Play………the Freshmen beamed as the myriad colours of dramatics were displayed with full enthusiasm and zeal during the Fourth Wall Club Orientation. Packed to full capacity, the hall thundered to the humorous one-liners, and sobbed when the actors melted their hearts out. The Monologue “Push Push Sharma” presented by Mayank Mangal was a hilarious warm-up to the enticing and enthralling One Act Play “Upanyaas” performed by Bilal Abidi, Aditya Gupta and Gaganjeet Singh. Bilal, at his sublime best, played the nuances of an old writer to such perfection that the whole crowd was left in awe of his prowess. Last came the Street Play “Jaago Jaago Jaago” which filled the air with jingles and fits of laughter. All along Surya Kant Tiwari and Vaibhav Chhimpa- the conveners of Fourth Wall gave each performance’s explanation to the crowd to keep them abreast of the elements of acting, direction, art-direction and scripting involved in dramatics. This wasn’t just an orientation, but a welcome beginning for the fresh actors of tomorrow.
